On Tuesday, May 21, qualified residents of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District will vote on a proposed $41,738,473 budget for the 2024-25 school year. The proposed budget represents a 1.15% spending increase and a year-to-year tax levy increase of 0.97%, which is below the district’s calculated tax levy “cap” of 3.02%.
At the end of May, an Odyssey of the Mind team from Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School will travel to Iowa State University for its fourth consecutive appearance in the World Finals.
Home run! Students from Broadablin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School recently had the opportunity to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., where they learned about the business side of the organization. Students heard from Scot Mondore, the director of licenses and sales/marketing, who provided an overview of marketing and gave them first-hand insights from the hall of fame. After the presentation, students were invited to take a guided tour through the museum.

Four students from Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Rochester. These students successfully competed at the divisional meeting, allowing them to be eligible to compete at states. The three-day event hosted 752 attendees from 53 schools across New York state. The four students competing from BPHS were sophomores Logan Haight, Evelynn Magagnos, and Jay Mannato, and junior Alex Vogel.
