In Broadalbin-Perth Central School District, learning doesn’t end when students receive a diploma. The district’s Adult Education Program is offering 24 classes this spring on topics ranging from racquetball and fitness to ballroom dancing and horseback riding. Adult residents of the school district and surrounding area can register for classes from 5-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, at Broadalbin-Perth Middle School, 1870 Co. Hwy 107, Amsterdam.

“The Adult Education Program is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to stay connected to the school while they learn new skills in a comfortable and friendly setting,” said Superintendent Stephen Tomlinson.

The first adult education classes begin on Monday, April 26. Registration for classes costs as little as $20, and senior citizens and Patriot Health Club members can save $10 on select classes. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and district residents will have priority over out-of-district residents. Classes must meet minimum enrollment requirements to run, and when maximum enrollment is reached, additional registrants will be placed on a call list. For more information on classes, download the Adult Education brochure or see the classes listed below.

After Tuesday, April 20, residents can register by phone by calling Dave Wiltey at 762-1237. Broadalbin-Perth is committed to meeting the needs and interests of adults in the community. People who are interested in teaching adult education courses or who have ideas for future adult education classes should also contact Mr. Wiltey.
