Sponsored by Reality Check and the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, Kick Butts Day is an annual celebration of youth leadership and activism in the fight against tobacco use. BP Middle School Peer Leaders organized a building-wide door decorating contest aimed at discouraging smoking and tobacco use.

The door decorating contest winners were selected by staff from Reality Check, who also handed out logos and literature about the hazards of smoking and tobacco use during lunch.
The prize-winning doors were created by classroom students in Mrs. O’Brien’s room, Mr. Nachman’s room and Ms. Nasner’s & Mr. Cotter’s homework hall. Middle school student Tyler Schmidt won the Reality Check raffle prize. All winners will receive a free Subway Lunch compliments of the Johnstown chapter of New York State Reality Check.
Mr. Mike Nachman is the Student Advisor for the Middle School Peer Leaders Program.
