Would you like to know more about nanotechnology? Are you interested in learning about Antarctica and Greenland? Do you want to learn more about how business uses science in our region? Do you know how to make your home energy efficient? Have you ever made ice cream using liquid nitrogen, met an owl, used a telescope, climbed a rock wall? You can do all this and more – join us on our Science Night, May 12!
The community is invited to attend our Science Night at Broadalbin-Perth High School on Wednesday May 12, 2010, from 5:30 – 8 pm. The event is sponsored by the Broadalbin-Perth Teachers Association, with support from a Local Action Project through NYSUT, the Broadalbin-Perth school district, NYSERDA, Evident Technologies, SuperPower, the Air National Guard, and our many volunteers.
The event is free of charge and open to the public. We encourage children and adults to attend this fun evening. Registration for workshops begins at 5:30 in the auditorium lobby, followed by our keynote speaker, Clinton Ballinger, CEO of Evident Technologies, a nanotech company, at 6. Information tables will be set up in the auditorium lobby. Workshops will run from 6:30 – 8 pm, and the evening will end with a Stargazing party! Come join us for some science fun!
