The Learning Community at Broadalbin-Perth Seeks Volunteers for Mini-Course Enrichment Program

Are you a master sewer or a yoga guru? Are you an unbelievable baker or unbeatable at board games? If so, then the shared decision-making team at The Learning Community at Broadalbin-Perth would like to invite you to share your talents and hobbies with students during its March Mini-Course Enrichment Program.

Throughout the month of March, community volunteers will present mini-courses each day after school, 3:05-4 p.m., at The Learning Community. Volunteers design their own courses, decide how many days and what days of the week they want to offer their courses, determine any materials they need, and how many students they can manage in their courses. The shared decision-making team takes care of additional details and provides funding for mini-course materials.

Volunteers should design their courses with primary-age students in mind. Past course offerings have included cross-stitching, yoga, winter games, arts and crafts activities, beading, board games, dancing, acting, gardening, woodshop and cooking.

For more information on the March Mini-Course Enrichment Program or to volunteer, contact Jennie Rogers at rogersj@bpcsd.org or 954-2650. The deadline for volunteer registration is Friday, Jan. 27.
