Graduation Information

In order to qualify for a Broadalbin-Perth High School Local or Regents Diploma, a student who enters Grade 9 after July 2000 must complete the following minimum requirements:
  • 4 Units - English
  • 4 Units - Social Studies
  • 3 Units - Math
  • 3 Units - Science
  • ½ Unit - Health
  • 1 Units - Art or Music
  • 2 Units - Physical Education
  • 4 Units - Sequence Courses/Electives
  • 1 Unit - Foreign Language or elective at the approval of principal
  • 22 ½ Units Total


Transfer students will have transcripts evaluated by the guidance department and the principal to ensure the transfer student meets local or Regents diploma requirements.

The Board of Regents and Board of Education has adopted the following phase-in schedule with regard to the five (5) Regents exams administered in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Global History and Geography, and United States History and Government:

2005 Score 65 or above on two (2) required Regents exams and score 55 or above on three (3) required Regents exams. Earn 22 units of credit. Score 65 or above on five (5) Regents exams. Earn 22 units of credit. Score 65 or above on eight (8) required Regents exams. Earn 22 units of credit.
