Capital project update: Week of June 19

2016 Capital Project

Work continues on Phase 1 of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District’s $39.7 million capital project that will affect employee, parent, student and visitor use of the district’s facilities.

Starting Monday, June 19, the baseball and softball fields at the Perth campus will be taken out of service and will be unavailable for use during or after the school day.

The following Monday, June 26, the Perth campus will be closed to everyone except 12-month employees. The campus closure means that all 10-month employees, residents, parents and students will not have access to the building or grounds after June 26. Employees based at the Perth campus who work during the summer may continue to access the building from the cemetery side, entering at the kitchen door. Year-round employees must continue to park in the Perth Bible Church lot.

Also beginning June 26, the Pine Street/Route 126 entrance to the Broadalbin campus will be closed for the duration of the summer. The student/visitor parking lot between Patriot Field and the softball field will also be closed; however, the faculty/staff parking lot behind the Broadalbin building will be accessible.

Members of the school community can stay up-to-date on Capital Project work by visiting the Capital Project page on the district website, www.bpcsd.org. In addition, information about any changes to the normal operation or use of school facilities will be posted to the district Facebook page and shared with faculty, staff, parents and residents through email and the B-P mobile app (available for Apple and Android devices).
