Aaron Cagwin

Communications Specialist


Aaron Cagwin has worked with Broadalbin-Perth as a member of the Capital Region BOCES communications service since 2011. He is the district’s primary videographer. In that role, he shoots and edits videos that are made available online through the district’s YouTube channel, BPTV, to help keep the community informed about various district events and initiatives.

In 2013, Cagwin received an Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for his video on the district’s annual Patriot Pink Out. Only 15 such awards were given nationwide.

Prior to joining Capital Region BOCES, Cagwin worked for three years as a news reporter/weather personality for NBC affiliate KNDU in Kennewick, Washington. He has also worked as a game-day statistician for several Albany-area college athletic teams and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region.

Cagwin holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from the State University of New York at Oswego.
