The Broadalbin-Perth High School Drama Club will present “Aladdin Jr.” the first week of April, and set-building and dance rehearsals are under way.

Based on the iconic animated film, Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” takes audiences soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with romance and adventure. When the street rat, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie’s magic power to become a prince so he can marry her. The characters you know from the movie — Iago, Jafar, the Genie and more — are in this musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.

The shows will run at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 6, 7 and 8 and 1 p.m. Sunday, April 9, in the Margaret Robin Blowers Auditorium.

Reserved seating for adults (13 and older) is $9 and $8 for children and seniors. General seating for adults is $8 and $7 for children and seniors. More information on ticket sales will be posted in the weeks leading up to the show.
