Graduation Requirements

Course Requirements

  • 4 credits English
  • 4 credits History
  • 3 credits Math
  • 3 credits Science
  • 1 credit in the Fine Arts
  • 1 credit of Language other than English
  • ½ credit of Health
  • 2 credits of Physical Education
  • 22 ½ credits total


Diploma Options

  • Local Diploma
  • Regents Diploma
  • Regents Diploma w/Advanced Designation
  • Regents or Advanced Regents w/Honors


Class of 2005 - 2008 Graduation Requirements

Local Diploma

Score at least 55 on all 5 required exams, including:
  • English
  • Global History
  • US History
  • Math A
  • Science

Regents Diploma

Score at least 65 on all 5 required exams, including:
  • English
  • Global History
  • US History
  • Math A
  • Science


Regents Diploma w/Advanced Designation

  • Additional coursework (one of the following):
    1. A language other than English (3 credits)
    2. CTE (5 credits)
    3. The arts (5 credits)
  • Additional assessments:
    1. Math B Regents
    2. A 2nd Science Regents
    3. LOTE Regents (for students opting for #1)


Regents Diplomas w/ Honors

Students must achieve an average of 90 percent in all Regents exams required for the particular Diploma (Regents or Advanced Designation) - (no rounding)


Career & Technical Endorsement

Currently approved for CTE programs in:
  • Automotive Mechanics
  • Licensed Practical Nursing
  • Nurse Assisting
  • Equine Science
  • Business Computer Applications
