Students in grades K-2 will learn technology skills as they are infused in to their existing academic curriculum to assist in the development of reading, writing, math, science, art and social studies skills.

1. Students will use appropriate instructional software to support learning in the curricular areas.
2. Students will use a variety of technology resources for directed and independent learning activities.
3. Students will identify the different parts of a computer and their uses.
4. Students will communicate about technology using appropriate terminology for their age level.
5. Students will exhibit proper care and usage of computer systems and software
6. Students will use input devices (mouse / keyboard) menus, special keys and fingering techniques to interact with a computer.
7. Students will demonstrate positive social and ethical behavior when using technology.
8. Students will use the computer to communicate with others by drawing or writing. Students will save, modify and print their work.
9. Students will demonstrate the ability to follow visual, oral and written instruction at their developmental level while using technology tools.

10. Students will discuss the social impact of computer technology on our lifestyle and recognize computers are used in different careers for many purposes.
