Welcome to The Learning Community at Broadalbin-Perth

As the starting point for a Broadalbin-Perth education, The Learning Community provides a nurturing, safe, orderly environment that fosters social and academic growth.

Despite serving B-P’s youngest learners, expectations at TLC are high. The academic program is rigorous and covers foundational skills in literacy, math and writing, as well as fine and gross motor skills and speech.

At TLC, teachers model the behaviors and expectations of the students, working to instill a strong work ethic and showing children how to advocate for themselves. Students are encouraged to be goal-oriented and learn strategies and techniques to help them overcome challenges and learn perseverance. With an emphasis on building positive character traits, students gain a sense of community and learn the importance of responsibility, teamwork, trustworthiness and tolerance.

TLC faculty and staff work to identify individual students’ strengths and present concepts in a variety of ways to ensure students master and can apply skills. Through hands-on lessons, small-group instruction and student-to-student interaction, students learn to advocate, evaluate and analyze.
