| The Broadalbin Perth Elementary PTSO is a group of parents, teachers, and students dedicated to strengthening home-school cooperation & communication, and enriching scholastic and co-curricular program offerings. We annually sponsor a variety of special events that offer students and parents a forum in which to make friends and memories. Come join us and enjoy a unique and meaningful opportunity for ongoing involvement with your child's education!

Meeting Dates

All meetings begin with a coffee/social half hour from 6:30 - 7:00 PM. The 'business' portion of our meeting time begins at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held in the Primary and Intermediate schools' Media Centers as noted below:

| Fall Festival - September 15, 2007. A fun festival of games, prizes, food and live music following the Homecoming parade. We would love to have volunteers for this old fashioned family event... Bring the kids! If you are interested in helping out, please contact a PTSO representative or leave you name in the PTSO mailbox in the Primary or Intermediate school.

PTSO Program Initiatives
|
- Sponsors special assemblies that enable children to experience cultural events.
- Provides financial 'mini grants' to educators who are seeking to provide enriched and creative curriculum.
- Provides funds for purchase of children's literature, educational tools, and other special purpose equipment.
- Annually sponsors a "First Day of School" Reception for parents of kindergarten students.
- Provides funds in support of the Parents As Reading Partners Program.
- Provides funds for annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
- Provides funds for refreshments during "Field Day" programs for students in grades k-5.
- Sponsors the annual cost-free Roller Skating Party during Spring break.
- Provides funds in support of elementary graduation awards.
- Provides funds in support of the purchase of supplies and books for the before and after school child care programs.
- Provides funds for refreshments for Kindergarten Orientation, and also for the elementary Moving Up Ceremony.
