BPHS initiated a lockdown drill at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. This is only a drill. There is no emergency.
Dear Broadalbin-Perth Parents and Guardians,
The safety and welfare of our students and staff are our highest priority at Broadalbin-Perth High School. Today at 9:50 a.m., BPHS conducted a lockdown drill. We practice safety drills throughout the year to help our staff and students know what to do in an emergency.
Our school works closely with local authorities to correctly develop and implement safety procedures. The goal of the drills throughout the school year is to improve our ability to protect students, save lives, and reduce injuries. These practice drills allow us to evaluate our emergency operation plans and improve our response skills.
Please talk with your child about the drill, if you deem it appropriate. While we practice these important safety procedures, our goal is to be sure all students feel safe.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to call us.
Sincerely,
Mark Brooks, BPHS Principal
