4th grade students get a tasty lesson in NYS geography

image showing a new york state cookie4th grade students at the Intermediate School got a rather tasty lesson in the geography of New York State. The students have been spent the first few weeks of the year learning about the geography of their state, and topped it all off with New York State-shaped sugar cookies. Students were able to decorate the cookies to represent the geographic features of the state, using chocolate chips for mountains, M&M’s for major cities, and blue icing for major rivers.

The students then got to eat their tasty treats after showing them to their parents during the Intermediate Open House.
