The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District has partnered with the Fulton County Office for the Aging to present the 2025 Senior Citizens Prom. The prom will take place 5-9 p.m. Friday, May 16, in the Jr. High School gymnasium at Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School, 100 Bridge St, Broadalbin.
A 10th-grade student from Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School has earned top honors in New York’s 21st Congressional District as the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition.
In June, 150 students will graduate from Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School, with more than 40% of graduating seniors earning a grade point average (GPA) of 90 or better. The top 10 students in the class of 2025 have achieved grade point averages ranging from 98.64 to 101.992.
Broadalbin-Perth will hold its annual school budget hearing starting at 7 p.m. Monday, May 12 in the lecture hall at B-P Jr./Sr. High School. During the hearing, the four candidates running to fill two seats on the Board of Education will also address attendees.
Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School senior Devon Oakden was recognized Tuesday evening at the 33rd annual Business and Marketing Educators’ Association (BMEA) Outstanding Business Student of the Year Dinner at the Century House in Latham.
Qualified residents of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District may request an absentee or early mail ballot to participate in the May 20 budget vote and board elections. Registered voters who wish to vote by absentee or early mail ballot must fill out an application. Applications may be obtained in person from District Clerk Lisa Schimmenti in the district office, or by calling 518-954-2501.
