Broadalbin-Perth Middle School Principal


Wayne Bell has been the principal at Broadalbin-Perth Middle School since the spring of 2008.

Before serving in his current position, Bell worked as the assistant principal at Broadalbin-Perth High School for two years. Prior to his administrative roles, he was a high school math teacher at Fonda-Fultonville for six years and in Herkimer for one year.

During Bell’s tenure as the principal, the Middle School has implemented a successful STEM program, and technology and computer classes have evolved into a pre-engineering course. As a result of these efforts, the school has won the “Be The Change for Kids” award and the “GE Imagination at Work Wind Turbine Contest.” The school also implemented the project based learning program “Future Cities.”

Bell graduated from Fonda-Fultonville High School. He earned an associate’s degree in construction technology from SUNY Delhi and a bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics from SUNY Brockport. He received a master’s degree in school administration from SUNY Albany.

Bell enjoys spending time with his daughter, Savannah, vacationing and riding his motorcycles.
