Broadalbin-Perth has submitted its reopening plan to both the New York State Education Department and the Department of Health, in accordance with state reopening guidelines.
“We submitted our reopening plan to the State Education Department by the July 31 deadline, and were unaware that there was a separate form we had to use to submit the plan to the Department of Health,” said Superintendent of Schools Stephen Tomlinson. “It was a simple oversight. I’m disappointed that, rather than contact school districts directly to let them know that one of the two required submissions was missing, the Department of Health instead chose to call out the districts publicly.”
Broadalbin-Perth has received confirmation from both the State Education Department and Department of Health that the district’s reopening plan has been received.
