B-P School Supply Store on MySchoolBucks

Broadalbin-Perth parents can now order their children’s school supplies through their MySchoolBucks accounts. Through the online B-P School Supply Store, parents of children entering grades K-8 can purchase their children’s school supplies through the district at bulk prices.

To access the School Supply Store, parents should log in to their MySchoolBucks account from a web browser on their computer or phone (not the mobile app) to view the school supply options for their children. After adding items to their cart, parents may pay by credit card or e-check. 

Parents have until July 20 to place their orders. Volunteers will package orders over the summer, and school supplies ordered through the B-P School Supply Store will be delivered to students in their classrooms on the first day of school in September.

According to Superintendent of Schools Stephen Tomlinson, B-P is able to offer this service because voters approved the 2018-19 school budget in May. The approved budget includes $20,000 worth of supplies that, in years past, were provided by parents. This allocation shortened the length of school supply lists at every grade level. Parents can purchase the supplies on the shortened list either through the B-P School Supply Store or at the retailer of their choice.

Parents are NOT required to purchase their child’s school supplies through Broadalbin-Perth. However, ALL of the products listed are required for each grade level. Parents may choose to purchase some or all of their child’s school supplies elsewhere.

Broadalbin-Perth is purchasing most items at bulk prices. The listed prices cover the district’s cost – B-P will not make any profit on school supplies sold through the B-P School Supply Store. Parents may be able to purchase some items at a lower cost through traditional retailers.

Note that items in each Essentials Package must be purchased as part of the package. Items in the Essential Packages are not being offered for individual sale through the B-P School Supply Store. Add-on items are not included with the Essentials Packages, but are required for that grade level.

The items listed below represent the complete school supply list for students at each grade level. Parents will not be required to purchase any additional school supplies, other than those listed, for students in grades K-8.

Clear backpacks are not required for any grade level. However, middle and high school students who wish to carry a backpack between classes must use a clear or mesh bag. Otherwise, backpacks must be kept in students’ lockers.

Supplies for pre-K students are provided by the school through the grant that funds that program. As in years past, high school students will receive lists of any needed from their teachers the first week of school.
