B-P thanks staff for service during annual employee recognition program

Broadalbin-Perth faculty and staff said farewell to 17 retiring employees with a combined 424 years of service during Wednesday’s annual staff recognition program. The district also honored those who have achieved tenure and service milestones, and presented the Outstanding Patriot of the Year awards.

Each building leader offered words of praise and thanks to the retiring employees from their buildings:

    • Christine Foglia-Sands – 18 years of service

The 2019 Outstanding Patriot of the Year awards were presented to third-grade teacher Lisa Caughey and retiring Director of Special Programs Christine Foglia-Sands. The third award was presented to media center specialist Flo Glasser on Wednesday.

Six employees were granted tenure: speech language pathologist Gail DeCicco, Spanish teacher Erica Heden, math teacher Julie Power, teaching assistants Kelly Hackert and Jolene Thompson, and TLC principal Brad Strait.
