2023-24 Enacted Budget

  • Year-to-year tax levy change: $155,650 (0.95%)

By a vote of 478 to 204 (70.1%), residents of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District approved a $41,266,000 budget for the 2023-24 school year. The approved budget calls for a 3.87% spending increase from the 2022-23 school year and a tax levy increase of 0.95%, which is above the district’s calculated tax levy cap of –8.38%. 

District residents also approved (519 to 160) a proposition that will allow Broadalbin-Perth to purchase three 66-passenger buses, two vans, and one large SUV. The state will pay for approximately 80% of the cost of the purchase, and there is no tax increase associated with the bus purchase.Voters also approved (479 to 202) a proposition to establish a capital reserve fund. The fund will be used to pay for the local share of future capital project expenditures and may be funded up to $10,000,000 over 10 years.
