Voting Information
Each year on the third Tuesday in May, qualified voters across New York state head to the polls to vote on their school district’s budget proposal and board candidates.
Poll Location
All district residents vote in the Robert C. Munn Gymnasium, located at B-P Senior High School.
Optical Scan Voting Machines
Residents use optical scan voting machines during the annual school budget vote and board elections. These are the same machines residents use when voting in primaries and general elections in November. Voter Qualifications
In order to vote in school elections, a person must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, registered to vote, and a resident of the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District for at least 30 days prior to the scheduled vote date. Residents who have registered to vote in general elections are automatically registered to vote in school elections.

District residents who have not registered to vote in general elections may register to vote in school elections from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays in the district office, or by calling 518-954-2501 to make other arrangements to register.
Absentee Ballots
Residents who are not be able to participate in a school election in person may contact the district office or download an application for an absentee ballot. Applications are due one week before the vote date if the ballot is to be mailed, or one day before the vote date if the ballot is to be picked up in person at the district office. All absentee ballots must be returned to the district office by 5 p.m. on the vote date.
