The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District is initiating set-up and preparation work in advance of Phase 1 construction of the district’s $39.7 million capital project.
During the week of May 1, survey and layout work will continue, and crews will implement erosion control measures. They will also remove existing fencing and equipment from the tennis courts at the Perth campus and the basketball court at the Broadalbin campus. Both of these facilities will be taken out of service and will no longer be available for use as of Monday, May 1.
Starting Tuesday, May 2, the nature trail and all of the woods behind the Broadalbin campus will be off limits as crews will isolate the area and prepare to remove trees for the expansion of the district’s athletic facilities.
Members of the school community can stay up-to-date about capital project work by visiting the capital project page on the district website. In addition, information about any changes to the normal operation or use of school facilities will be posted to the district Facebook page and shared with faculty, staff, parents and residents through email and the B-P mobile app (available for Apple and Android devices).
