COVID-19 Layered Mitigation Plan

The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District plans for a full return to school in September. To responsibly mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while providing in-person teaching and learning, the district will use a tiered mitigation approach. This will include requiring face masks, social distancing, facility cleaning and disinfecting, and a set of protocols as responses to illness, contact tracing, and quarantining. Click here to learn more about these protocols.

The following continuum of protections is based on guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Fulton County Public Health Department, and the New York State Education Department (NYSED). The continuum will be implemented based on the community transmission rate, ranging from low to high. These strategies have proven to be successful in creating a safe school environment. Our approach is fluid and can change depending on circumstances. We will continue to review our protocols and update them as needed.
