Broadalbin-Perth uses ParentLink (a Blackboard company) as its mass notification system for emails, SMS text messages and phone calls to parents, faculty and staff, and community residents. ParentLink also powers Broadalbin-Perth’s mobile app, available on Apple and Google/Android mobile devices. App users can also receive push notifications to their mobile devices with news from B-P schools.
Parents, students and staff do NOT need to sign up for email, SMS text and phone notifications; ParentLink pulls contact information from the district’s student management system, SchoolTool.
In order to make sure you receive emergency notifications, including weather-related school closings and delays, always notify your child’s school if a contact phone number or email changes.
Non-parent residents can sign up to receive email, SMS text and/or phone notifications by creating a ParentLink account at bpcsd.parentlink.net. Because parent, student and staff accounts are created automatically, individuals who did not receive a password letter from the district can contact Michele Kelley at email@example.com to obtain their login credentials.
Logging In to ParentLink
ParentLink users can update their contact information, including the email addresses and phone numbers at which they receive district information, by logging into their accounts.
- Visit http://bpcsd.parentlink.net in a web browser. Type your login ID and password into the fields.
- In the mobile app, select Log In (located on the second screen of icons on most devices) and type in your login ID and password.
Parents, students, faculty and staff should NOT create accounts in ParentLink; rather, they must contact Michele Kelley at firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain their login IDs and temporary passwords. User-created accounts — as opposed to system-generated accounts — will not give the user access to such information as student grades and assignments.
