Feb. 6: FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Qualifying Tournament at B-P

On Sunday, February 6, the Broadalbin-Perth Nut Jobs will host their first-ever FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics qualifying tournament.

Twenty-five teams, including B-P’s Nut Jobs, will compete demonstrating skills and abilities with their robot through a variety of tests and challenges. Five teams will advance to the Regional Championship. The excelsior region encompasses all of NYS except NYC and Long Island.

The tournament is free and open to the public, taking place in the Robert C. Munn high school gymnasium. The event will feature B-P senior Kate Szumowski singing the National Anthem with messages from Senator Jim Tedisco and Rep. Angelo Santabarbara. The tournament will be in person and streamed online through YouTube. The team would love to have B-P fans cheering in the bleachers. The schedule is posted below.
