The two Stewart’s Shops that serve the Broadalbin-Perth community will celebrate the graduating Class of 2020 by serving up a limited edition ice cream flavor renamed “Patriot Pride” in honor of the senior class.
The ice cream, which is available in other Stewart’s Shops under the name “Red, White, and MOO,” is a French custard ice cream with a strawberry swirl and red and blue cookie dough stars. At the Stewart’s Shops in Broadalbin (47 S. Second Ave.) and Perth (4192 State Hwy 30), customers will be able to order scoops of this flavor as “Patriot Pride” at the ice cream counter.
The idea to temporarily rename the limited edition flavor came from B-P alum Carl Aery, who lives in Broadalbin and works in Stewart’s Shops’ marketing department.
“[It] was inspired by the B-P Senior Drive in May — it was a great community turnout and show of support. These students have missed out on so much of their final year at B-P, and they deserve as much recognition as possible. ‘Red, White, and MOO’ has the B-P school colors, so we thought it would be nice for the local Stewart’s Shops to recognize our seniors by renaming it in their honor to show how proud the community is of them.”
Every member of the B-P Class of 2020 will receive a coupon for a free hand-packed pint of “Patriot Pride,” courtesy of Stewart’s Shops.
The “Patriot Pride” flavor will be available at the Broadalbin and Perth Stewart’s Shops June 22 through July 5. “Red, White, and MOO” is available at all Stewart’s Shops while supplies last.
