All this week, members of the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) will be hosting acting workshops and rehearsals for Broadalbin-Perth elementary students. Two professional actors from the famed theater based in Missoula, Mont. will immerse themselves in the one-week experience. During the school day, they will present workshops to sixth-graders and, after school, they will host daily rehearsals as they help 57 B-P students in kindergarten through grade 6 prepare for two performances of “The Snow Queen.” The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Broadalbin-Perth is made possible through funding by B-P’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).

Performances of “The Snow Queen” are set for 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9 at BPES. Doors will open 45 minutes before showtime each day, and socially distanced seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased at the door. Children ages 2 and under will be admitted free of charge. There will be a 50/50 raffle and PTO volunteers will sell to-go concessions after each show. All proceeds will go toward bringing MCT back to B-P in 2022.
