Adventure Club gets BPHS students into the great outdoors

The goal of the Adventure Club at Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School is to help outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers get outside and seek adventure. The quarterly club activities include hikes, rock climbing, ropes courses, snowshoeing, and spelunking.

Club members and their advisors, Gary Ozarczuk and Danielle Jiguere, recently completed their first quarter adventure: an Adirondack hike. The group summited Prospect Mountain in Lake George.

Later this year, the club plans to go indoor rock climbing at The Edge in Halfmoon, take on the ADK Extreme Adventure Course in Bolton Landing, and complete a second hike followed by a club barbeque to end the school year.
