B-P's Patriot Academy conducts acts of service during the holiday season
Students in the Patriot Academy at Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School got into the spirit of giving by participating in holiday-themed service activities throughout the month of December.
Academy students in 10th grade created wooden mitten ornaments and hung them outside each classroom door throughout the school. Ninth graders offered a gift-wrapping service to high school faculty and staff, and Academy instructors ensured the quality of the wrapped gifts by putting students through a "gift-wrapping boot camp."
All Academy students in grades 9-11 participated in a children’s book drive. The books collected will be donated to regional charitable organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House and Albany Medical Center’s High-Risk Infant Follow-Up Clinic.
