Broadalbin-Perth communications team receives three statewide awards
The Broadalbin-Perth communications team has received three awards through the 45th annual New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) communications contest. About 35% of the more than 430 entries received awards.
B-P received an Award of Excellence in the category "Budget/Bond Newsletter" for the 2024 Patriot Press Special Capital Project Edition. The newsletter was written and laid out by Michele Kelley, who serves as the district’s director of communications.
The district received an Award of Honor in the "Special Purpose Publication" category for the 3rd annual Student-Athlete Recognition Program, which was also written and laid out by Kelley.
The district also received an Award of Honor in the "Strategic Campaign" category for the Meet A Patriot video series. During the 2023-24 school year, the series was produced by B-P communications specialist Gehrig Garner in coordination with the Capital Region BOCES Engagement and Development Service.
More than 50 communications professionals from across the country served as judges to evaluate the more than 430 entries in this year's NYSPRA contest. Winning work is recognized with the designations of "Excellence," "Honor," and "Merit." A complete list of winners is available at NYSPRA.org.
