Celebrating Thanksgiving across Broadalbin-Perth

Celebrating Thanksgiving across Broadalbin-Perth

The spirit of gratitude and community has been alive across Broadalbin-Perth this week, as students, staff, and families came together to celebrate the season in their own special ways. From shared meals and cozy gatherings to games, activities, and surprise guests, each school found unique ways to pause, connect, and enjoy the joy of the holidays.

Here’s a look at how our schools marked the start of the Thanksgiving season:

RISE Thanksgiving Feast

Our RISE (Reaching Independence through Support and Education) program at B-P Elementary School kicked off the holiday season with a warm and welcoming Thanksgiving feast. Families joined students and staff for a special meal, creating time to slow down, connect, and celebrate together before the break.

Grateful Morning at the Academy

Students and staff in the Patriot Academy at B-P High School came together for the program’s annual Grateful Breakfast. In true Academy fashion, the breakfast reflected the program’s focus on collaboration, creativity, and real-world learning. An innovative school-within-a-school, the Patriot Academy emphasizes hands-on, project-based experiences that build communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, helping students grow as thinkers and leaders.

BPMS Thankful Feast and Holiday Fun

B-P Middle School students celebrated the season with a lively Thanksgiving feast filled with food, fun, and friendly competition. After enjoying a shared meal, students went head-to-head in a variety of games and activities, bringing plenty of energy and laughter to the day.

The highlight of the celebration came with a surprise visit from a very special “turkey” — Principal Kristina Marshall, fully dressed for the occasion — along with the B-P Patriot mascot, who helped keep the excitement going.
