Construction begins on 2024 capital project

Phase 1 construction on Broadalbin-Perth’s $37.8 million capital project that was approved by voters in May 2024 is now underway. 

The first phase of construction includes:

• Replacing identified exterior and interior doors at both sites
• Replacing identified sections of roofing at both sites
• Adding sidewalks to improve pedestrian safety at both sites
• Adding lighting and artificial turf to the infield of the varsity baseball and softball fields
• Replacing the track at Patriot Field
• Refurbishing the elevators at both sites

Additional work, including replacing identified windows and renovating the Margaret Robin Blowers Auditorium, will take place during Phase 2 of the project.

Throughout construction, the district will provide updates on its website at www.bpcsd.org/2024-capital-project. When access to school buildings or grounds must be limited because of construction, information will be posted on the home page of the district’s website and shared with the community via ParentSquare. Non-parent residents who do not already receive notifications through ParentSquare can request to receive capital project updates via SMS text message, email, and/or mobile app by emailing Michele Kelley, director of communications, at kelleym@bpcsd.org.
