Orientations welcome 6th and 7th grade students to B-P Middle School

With the 2026-27 school year just around the corner, Broadalbin-Perth students entering sixth and seventh grade recently had the opportunity to get acquainted with the middle school.

The orientation sessions gave incoming students a chance to become more familiar with the middle school building, connect with staff and classmates, and learn what to expect as they begin the school year.

“Our goal was for students to leave orientation feeling excited about the start of their new journey in middle school, and I think we accomplished that,” said Middle School Principal Kristina Marshall.

The sixth-grade class marks the first cohort since 2020 to attend middle school at B-P. Since the 2020-21 school year, sixth graders have attended Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School.

Throughout both orientations, students had the chance to ask questions, meet members of their school community, and remove some uncertainty from their first day of classes.
