Proceeds from Golden Gala to fund scholarships for B-P students and families

The Broadalbin-Perth community came together once again in support of students and families at this year’s Golden Gala, an evening that highlighted generosity across the district and raised funds for student and family scholarships through Warriors Within B-P (WWBP).

The event's attendees made a direct impact. Proceeds from raffle baskets generated enough funding to provide this year’s senior scholarship, while ticket sales supported a family scholarship. Contributions from Golden Sponsors enabled funding for two additional family scholarships, and Business Sponsors strengthened support for future community needs through WWBP, whose mission is, “At B-P, no one fights alone.”

This year’s Golden Sponsors included Quality Hearing Instruments; Mary S. Brown, Attorney at Law; Megabites; John Viscosi Photography; Complete Weddings and Events; and Robert W. Chambers Mansion and Park, Inc.

Business Sponsors included Jade Enterprises, Halgas Funeral Home, China Wok, Market 32, Rustic Loft, and Spinnaker Realty Sales.

Additional support for the event’s raffle baskets and silent auction came from many members of the Broadalbin-Perth school community, including several teaching teams at the elementary school, the high school business department, the B-P nursing department and communications team, as well as Amanda Ferraro, Dianne Magliocca, the BPTA, and the B-P PTO.

This year’s Golden Family, the Blowers family, was recognized during the program, and attendees heard from last year’s scholarship recipient, Lillian Hughes.

Each year, the Golden Gala brings together Broadalbin-Perth staff, families, local businesses, and community partners to invest directly in B-P students and families. Organizers expressed appreciation for everyone who contributed to making the evening a success.
