Sixth graders bring history — and a few familiar faces — to life during annual wax museum

Broadalbin-Perth sixth-grade students transformed into an impressive cast of historical icons, innovators, and modern-day celebrities during the school’s annual Wax Museum, creating an interactive experience that blended research, creativity, and performance.

After weeks of preparation, students dressed as their chosen figures and stood ready to “come to life” for visitors, sharing speeches about their accomplishments and lasting impact. Among the personalities featured were basketball star Caitlin Clark, baseball standout Aaron Judge, singer Carrie Underwood, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, founding father Benjamin Franklin, soccer player Mia Hamm, and many more.

The project encouraged students to dive deep into the lives of influential people from a variety of backgrounds while developing valuable skills in research, writing, public speaking, and presentation. Each display reflected the time and effort students invested in learning about their subject and bringing that individual’s story to life.
