Smith, Wallace receive November MVP award

Congratulations to the November recipients of the Most Valuable Patriot (MVP) award, high school nurse Gabby Smith and third grade teacher Lisa Wallace. 

Gabby Smith, high school nurse 

Smith is a B-P alum who says she loves coming to work every day. She says that being a school nurse allows her to build relationships with the students and she enjoys the sense of family at B-P. Smith was recognized for her patience and the care she takes with her students.

Lisa Wallace, third grade teacher

Wallace is a B-P alum and she will tell you that she gets choked up when talking about being a third grade teacher. She said it was what she "was made to do." She believes in providing a safe atmosphere for her students to feel loved so that they can grow and feel connected. She loves the parent/caregiver involvement and has already hosted three events in her classroom this school year. 

Wallace was nominated for engaging her students and for providing football dinners for the JV and varsity B-P football teams.

Each month, two district employees are recognized through Broadalbin-Perth's MVP program. Each winner receives a B-P Yeti mug. Nominations can come from any member of the school community and all nominations should be submitted online. The deadline to nominate a B-P employee for the December MVP award is Friday, Dec. 8.
