Students race drones at BPHS

Walking into the gymnasium at Broadalbin-Perth Jr./Sr. High School recently, drones could be found flying through the air. Students from BPHS were standing below the drones, controllers in hand, navigating the flying rocket drones around an inflatable race course. The drones were lent to the school by the Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC), and representatives stayed on-site to help teach students how to navigate the course. After practicing flying the drones, students were then given the opportunity to compete against each other, seeing who could master the course first.
