Online school supply store open now through June 12

School supply lists

The B-P School Supply Store is open now through Friday, June 12. Parents can access the store through their MySchoolBucks accounts. All orders placed through the B-P School Supply Store will be delivered to students’ desks before the first day of the 2019-20 school year.

This is the third year that parents have the option of purchasing their children’s school supplies directly from the district at a reduced price. Through the program, B-P purchases supplies at bulk prices and passes the savings along to participating parents.

B-P has also reduced the length of school supply lists by allocating district funds to purchase supplies that, in years past, were provided by parents. The shortened school supply lists are possible because voters approved the district’s school budget during the annual school budget vote.

Note, parents are not required to order supplies through the B-P School Supply Store. Complete school supply lists are being mailed home with students this week. Everything listed under the Essential Package and all the add-ons are required, with two exceptions:

  • Clear backpacks are not required for students at any grade. However, students in grades 7-12 who wish to carry a backpack between classes must use a clear or mesh bag; otherwise, their backpack must stay in their locker during the school day.
  • Every student in grades 7-8 must have a combination lock for their PE locker. Most students purchase one in sixth grade and use it in later years. If your child already has a PE lock purchased from the district, they should continue to use that lock.

Parents who have questions about the B-P School Supply Store should contact the district communications office at 518-954-2640 or kelleym@bpcsd.org.
